THURSDAY crept up on me this week. With our new schedule since school started, I was shocked to realize it was time for another Thankful Thursday post. Here goes...1. I'm thankful for my air conditioning. It's still extremely hot here and very humid.
2. I'm thankful my washing machine is fixed. We had to buy a new motor for it, so I think that makes it as good as new? Now, we have to focus on a new vacuum cleaner....
3. I'm thankful for the opportunity once again to attend the tent revival in our area. We went again on Friday night, and witnessed over 60 people coming to know the Lord. Powerful!
4. I'm thankful for energy I have had this week. Last week was rough with headaches and a sinus infection, so this week was a welcome change. I was able to fix 3 meals a day for my family and get some things done around the house that I neglected while being sick last week.
5. I'm thankful for some alone time I had with my 2 year old, O. I didn't realize how long it had been since we had one-on-one time together. Too long. We've had a good time getting caught up with each other.
6. I'm thankful for one of Eric's co-workers that has given us another free vacation for this weekend. We're going to Gatlinburg on Friday. This is the second free vacation we've taken this year. Praise the Lord! Our family loves Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge!
7. I'm thankful for E.'s school. I've posted about it several times this week, so I won't go into anymore detail, but everyday I drop her off, I thank the Lord she is able to attend this school.
8. I'm thankful for quiet times with the Lord. Whatever the time of day, I'm thankful God speaks to me and that He loves me. My time with Him this week has been precious.
9. I'm thankful for routines. Al though our summer was relaxed, it was nice to get back into a routine which meant early bedtimes. Yay! I love when my kids go to bed at 8:00 and Eric and I can have time to ourselves. We're all much happier when we're on a schedule.
10. I'm thankful for 'teachable' parents. My parents teach me that you're never too old for God to speak to you. I'm thankful for a Mom and Dad that love the Lord and SEEK Him.

A free vacation!!! How wonderful for your family. I want to model that I am never too old for God to speak to/teach me to my young adult kids! That is awesome that you have that in your parents.
This is just a neat list. Girl, I can join in and be thankful for air conditioning.
I feel sorry for the generations before us who lived though this heat.
Lovely post. Thank you.

I am so glad that you are feeling much better. My Sweetheart always has horrible sinus infections.
Having time with your hubby at night is very precious - I am glad you were able to have them this week. I am doing better on a schedule too :)
Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.
Blessings to you and yours.
I love that you love Pigeon Forge! I am teaching a women's conference there in a couple weeks. I absolutely love those mountains and especially Five Oaks outlets! :))

Thanks for sharing your blessings today!!! Because of the dark days I am experiencing, it was important that I participate this week ... I needed to remind myself of God's blessings. Please come over and share it with me.

Great list, Deidre! I love quiet time and routines too. Ours has been out of whack this week w/ family visiting - so glad we can get back to normal.
Praise God for 60 new brothers and sisters in the Kingdom! What is that worth?? Glad you're feeling better. Blessings on your weekend.
I am totally with you on the schedule thing. I *LOVE* when I have my schedule and things aren't so chaotic....it seems like the best part of school starting!
