Forgetful Friday

Here's one thing I know for sure .... Even when you have your own blog, your mother will tell you when you need to post something. Here's our conversation this afternoon...

Mom: "Why didn't you post a Thankful Thursday?"

Me: "Ummm ... well, I've just been really busy and I didn't get to it last night. I couldn't do it this .....

Mom: "Well, you need to post a Thankful Thursday".

Me: "Well, maybe I'll post a 'Forgetful Friday' and be ....

Mom: "No, you need to post a Thankful Thursday. I gotta go". Click - hung up.

Don't you just love mothers? Hi, Mom! So, to prove I haven't lost my manners and I am indeed, Thankful, I'm posting just a little late.

1. I'm thankful for God's provision. My family and I have more than we need.

2. I'm thankful O has had such a great time at MMO this week. She hasn't felt well the past few days. She's just tired and complains of a stomach ache, but has no fever. When I was walking her into school this morning, she said, "Mommy, you pray for my tummy?" I stopped right there on the sidewalk and prayed for her and then she was fine. I felt terrible leaving her, not really knowing if she was sick. But, when I picked her up, she was singing and dancing.

3. I'm thankful for morning quiet times. I have consistently had my quiet time with the Lord at 5:45 every morning and it has been so rewarding. I love that I'm up way before my children and can even have breakfast ready for them when they wake. E. woke Tuesday morning and came downstairs to see me sitting in my chair in the living room. She said, "Wow, Mom, have you been reading your bible all night?" ha ha. We are all better because of this schedule, plus I'm getting to spend quality time with Jesus.

4. I'm thankful for the chance to visit my little brother Monday. We stopped by his university on the way home from vacation and took him to lunch. E. was thrilled to see his dorm room and wanted to skip from kindergarten straight to college. I, personally, had to hurry out of there so not to be mistaken for a college freshman again.

That's all for this week as far as Thankful Thursday goes. If you want to read more TT, visit Iris at Sting My Heart.

Does "mom" have a blog? No matter how old we get our mothers will continue to tell us what we should do. *wink*wink*

Thanks aunt P for making sure Dee Dee (couldn't resist) does not skip her TT, she so inspires me to remember the important things.

Love to all
