Kindergarten Graduation

I'm going to try to catch up on this here blog. I have been so busy or preoccupied with stuff, I haven't taken the time to post (or comment) in a few weeks. But, there are some things I would like to document here just in case I never get around to scrapbooking (ha ha).

I've mentioned here many times how much I LOVE E's school. Eric and I feel so blessed to be able to send her to a school that is centered around God's Word. It's refreshing to know there are teachers that are committed to coming alongside Eric and myself to teach our children about Him and have the same standards we do in that area.

E recently graduated from kindergarten. I was surprisingly happy that night even though I told her I would probably weep like a baby during the entire thing. I didn't cry once. I was just so thrilled to see her so happy.

She and I talked a lot that week about what award she would get. I wrote last year about her receiving the award for Wisdom here. She asked me before her graduation if I thought her teachers would still think she was wise. I told her whatever award she received, we are very proud of her. She added, "yep, but let's just hope I don't get the award for talking!"

Oh, yes. Let's hope.

She was presently surprised when her teacher announced she was once again receiving the award for Wisdom. That night she said, "Well, looks like I'm still wise. Who would'a thought!"

Here are some pics from the night......

E's Kindergarten Teacher

This picture cracks me up. She wanted me to take a picture of her looking 'wise'. Did you know 'wise' is a look? Apparently, this is what it looks like!

She is more than thrilled that kindergarten is over. Al though she loves the school, she was so bored this year. We're all hoping next year will be a little better for her.

Next year will also be her first year to go all day, which makes me want to cry, scream and lock the door so my babies can't get out. I am NOT looking forward to being without her all day!

Glad to see she retained her wisdom through kindergarten :-)

I can so relate to your angst about her being gone all day next year; it was so hard for me to be away from my girls for a full day, and it hasn't gotten any easier. (My oldest just finished 5th grade!) However, it sure makes seeing them at the end of the day a happy reunion

I love the picture of her looking "wise"! Too stinkin' cute! My mom taught kindergarten for years and years and loved it! She always had funny stories.
I too attended a Christian school and am so grateful to my parents for the sacrifices they made to make it happen. The school I attended gave out the Christian Character award to the student who best exemplified a Christ-like attitude, and I always hoped I win, but never did 
Congrats to your little one on her accomplishment!
