We had a little spa-day this morning, which was a great diversion from our 96th game of Candyland. One more trip around Gumdrop Mountain and I would have gone into a sugar-coma.
O insisted on having her toes painted since she would be wearing her new princess flip-flops to gymnastics. She went crazy over the flowers and wanted one on each toe. Fortunately, I talked her into just one.
Aside from the ocassional "I said don't move" and "Hold still", it was a relaxing experience - kind of like a real spa.
Except, not really.
Not at all, actually.

Yeah.....painting my girls toenails isn't relaxing either....
BUT -dang! You did good. I thought you took her to a real salon.....did you paint those daisy's on there? That is great. My fingers shake too much to do that.
Fabulous job, girl!
How beautiful are those precious toes! You are a woman of many talents! Can't believe you painted those daisys! They are just adorable!
Hope Miss E doesn't see those or she will surely have her Nana painting hers like that! (-:
How stinkin' cute are those toes???
I still miss the days when my girls were little and were begging me to paint their toes pink and they were so little it was hard to paint them because the brush was too big for the job. Paint away!
AAHHh - I want my toes to look like that!
Deidre,
This post brought me such a smile, My daughter who lives in Texas, has the same spa nights with her two girls, and when they were visiting here at Christmas we had one here at my our home. Thank you for sharing.
Blessings,
Sue
I'm with you on this one. NOt like the spa at all.
We have reached an all new level though, one that requires me to sit back and force myself to enjoy the experience.
Now instead of me doing all the painting, she wants me to do her nails, and then she will do mine.
I don't mind her doing my toenails, seeing as i haven't taken the flip flops out of the closet, but the fingernails??? I have used every excuse in the book. We'll see how long I can hold her off!
