E became more and more curious about that book .... and maybe a bit jealous.She wrote mine AND HER name in the front as if she was staking claim on it's contents as well.
I would find her sneaking in my purse to read a page .... yes, even at 4 years old.
I wasn't sure if she was just trying to be like me or if she understood what the book was about.
She has helped me wrap at least 50 of these books to give away .... we've given them to girls in my Sunday School class, her school teachers, family, friends .... and, even a hostess at a restaurant in town who was crying and clearly 'shaken' when we entered (I used to keep a few in my car for that reason!).
This past Valentine's Day, Eric bought E the 'little girls' version. It sits on her nightstand and she reads it as a devotion each night. Very uplifting and speaks Truth into her spirit.
So, imagine her excitement that the author of those books .... Sheri Rose Shepherd .... is coming to our church in a little over a week to speak.I know it will be a night of encouragement for the ladies and youth girls in our community ... including a certain 7 year old that feels like she knows her already.

I too found this book a few years ago and LOVE it! It is so wonderful you had a copy to give a crying hostess. It's also wonderful how E loves it so much & the Truth she is digesting because of it. I have a copy, so don't enter me in the drawing. I will be praying for the event at your church... SO wish I lived nearby so I could be there. Thank you for the reminder to pull this little treasure off the bookshelf... and hear my King and my Daddy love on me and remind me of Truth.

I just opened the book and turned to 2 of my memory verses!
1. Psalm 27:1 on pages 82-83... along with the message "DO NOT FEAR", which is very timely right now.
2. Isaiah 41:10 on pgs 58-59 with the msg "You have beautiful hands" I felt like the Lord was speaking directly to me for a lot of different reasons. Oh how amazing that He is the One who holds my hand, and will never let me go.
Oh my word....this is a HUGE answer to prayer. Seriously!!!
A few months back I read one her the clips from this book and for the life of me I couldn't remember the title...or who sent it to me and I've been searching...and searching...and searching...for this book.
Then today, I swing on by your place (because I ALWAYS find encouragement here) and your post is about this very book.
I LOVE it that God works like this...now..all I need to do is buy the book!!!!!
Oh how my heart is rejoicing today...I LOVE that God cares about the "little" things...that means so much to my heart!
