Day 19: Salvation

I know I've written a lot about her lately, but God is continuing to use E to point me to Him. I still have hard days, but everywhere I turn, God is putting a message of joy in my path. I'm learning that in the midst of sadness, a person who is IN Christ can have unspeakable joy. It doesn't make sense, yet it's oh so real.

I found this in E's book bag tonight.

When I asked her what it was, she told me she has been using her free time at school to make these posters to handout to friends.

Each one handwritten. Each one telling the worship opportunities at our church.

I asked her why she was spending so much time making these. She said, "People have to know about Jesus, Mama. Time is running out and I want all the people I know to go to heaven".

She's right, you know?

Do you have that joy inside of you that only Jesus Christ can give? You see, there must be a time in your life you have asked Him to come into your heart and forgive you of your sins. There must be a time you have committed your life to Him. He is coming back soon and the time is now for you to receive that indescribable joy.

Do you know Him? Tell me about when you received Christ! Even if I know you personally, leave a brief testimony in the comments ... Let's thank Him today for salvation!

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosever believeth in him will not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16

Deidre, your sweet daughter warms my heart.
I met the Lord when I was 10 years old during vacation bible school. I have not always made the right decisions but as you say God has been always there to forgive me. I love him and want to serve him always.
Thank you for reminding me of my salvation today. It is a gift.

I received Christ when I was 14 yrs old. I do not know what I would have done in my life without him. He has been my guide, my best friend, but most of all he saved me and one day I will get to bow at his feet and say Thank you for loving me so much that you came into my heart and you never left.

I think this must be why Jesus said "Let the little children come unto me". He knew their hearts. And their hearts are so very precious.

I did not receive Christ as my Savior until I was 30 years old. My only regret is I did not accept him earlier. He is the joy of my life.

E is so precious. I just love her!! I was 12 years old when I asked the Lord to save me. Unfortunately, I didn't have a mother or father like you & Eric to disciple me as to the meaning of being saved and how to live for the Lord I just knew that I did not want to go to hell and that I wanted my eternity to be with Jesus. Praise the Lord that He protected me through the hard years that I lived for everything but Him. I was missing something in my life, just not sure what. And He was always there, whether I knew it or not. I was almost 26 years old before I knew that it was a relationship with Him that I was missing. Praise His Holy Name. Without Him who knows where I would be......
If it had not been the LORD who was on our(my) side, Psalm 124:1

I had made a false profession at the age of 21, following my husband to the alter. I lived on that for 5 years. But God who is rich in His mercies continued to convict me,deal with me. Until one day He brought me to the place that I knew I was going to HELL without him.by this time I was the preachers wife, but I was lost as lost could be and I needed Christ. So thankful that He saw fit to redeem me.

Whatever the sweet plans God has for E. only He can tell but I am thankful that I'll be able to be a part of it in seeing her grow in the Lord! Praise You Jesus for your infinite plans on such finite beings!
Vacation Bible School when I was young was the seeds that God used to get me to church when I was 16. I too joined the church thinking all I needed to be was baptized but thank you Father for saving a lost church member who thought she had it all figured out! November 2001 at a Just Give Me Jesus Revival by Anne Graham Lotz the word became alive for a woman like me and I haven't been the same since! God's gift of salvation is such a treasure and I wonder why I too, waited so long!

Blessings to you dear!

E is SO precious. I love her enthusiasm for the Lord (and am convicted by it!).

My mom lead me to Christ around age 11. I haven't always walked as closely as I should have, but He has always been faithful to me. I praise Him for my gift of salvation!!!!
