** Intentional quality time with my girls.
I am head over heels in love with my firstborn.

Seriously, she is everything I am not. Calm. Patient. Sees the good in EVERYONE. Loyal. Committed. Persistent. Deeply Spiritual. I have watched her come in from school everyday this week, do her homework, rehearse her lines for her play, feed her guinea pig, practice piano and violin and have her devotions - all without me asking her to. We've been able to spend some good one-on-one time together this week (I even let her stay out of school on Wednesday just to hang out with me). She is one of my absolute favorite people.
O is .... well, hilarious (as you witnessed from the video below). I often think about what our life was like before her. She brings so much life to this house now. E and I are pretty serious and can't get caught up in all we have to get done. O comes along and challenges every bit of it and I love her for it.Funny story about O this week .... she and I went shopping for a new purse (for me). After looking around for awhile, I said "Okay, let's go. I don't see anything I like". She said, "Yeah, I wouldn't have any of these purses. They're all full of trash!". ha!
On a completely different note ....
Did any of you catch Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution? It was fascinating. And convicting. Eric and I recorded it, so I let my girls watch some of it last night. I say 'some of it' because O said after we had only watched a few minutes of it, "Can we stop watching this? I like chicken nuggets!".
Proof I am guilty of feeding my kids unhealthy food?
I have got to get my act together when it comes to cooking.
Do you ever feel like you're doing so much stuff that's good, but you're not doing anything well??? That's where I am right now.
Well, look at that. My computer actually stayed on for me to complete this post.
Have a great weekend!

I laughed out loud about the purse story with all the trash in them!! Too funny!
ADORABLE GIRLS!
I love your girls too, Deidre! I watched that video you posted (sorry I didn't comment) and it was so adorable! You are blessed...and I'm pretty sure you know it. ;)
As for your computer woes...have you considered saving up for a Mac. We converted almost 7 years ago and have had so few problems it's not even funny. They're pricey, but worth every penny.
I love the "Intentional" time for your girls... such thought & purpose in that word... awesome!
I didnt get to see that show! I wanted too.. I gotta see if its on Hulu!!!
And you'll have to send me an update on how you're doing! You were on my heart really strongly the other day & I just started lifting up some prayers for you!!!
(((HUGS)))
Bwahaha! Purses with trash! That is funny stuff.
Sorry to hear about your computer. How frustrating since it is so new!
I <3 the purse story!!!! lol
Seriously, you have 2 precious...precious...gifts from God!
Happy Weekend.
Your girls are the cutest things! They are both just beautiful!
I didn't see the Jamie Oliver show, but I have my TiVo set to record the next one!
Hope you have a great weekend!!
I have been facebooking more than blogging and have missed reading your posts! I'm back! :) Your girls are so sweet. I love reading your stories about them! The purse story is hilarious. Ella got a Barbie purse for her bday and as she opened it, her friends were all saying, "something is inside, what is it" and they were all excited about it. Ella pulled out the paper and said, "TRASH!". :)
Okay, clearly I was way behind, but I just love your posts so I've been catching up!
I can totally relate to doing a lot of things well enough but nothing really well. In fact, I think it's why I recently decided to work on just a few things around the house and with the kids and let the rest go until I have a hang of those few things and they are built into our routine. Hmmm, maybe I should be blogging about this?
