I slept like a baby Friday night! Ahhhh .... so nice. I think I went to bed at 9:00. The girls camped out on the floor beside our bed and we all slept so good just knowing Eric was with us. I had plans to sleep in Saturday morning, but woke at 7:30 feeling happy and refreshed. Although, 7:30am is late for me. There is really nothing like all of us being home together.
We were so happy to see Eric! He came bearing gifts ....
I love getting flowers and he gives them to me often :)
We spent Saturday morning working on the girls' play area outside, filling it with pea gravel and rubber mulch. We've wanted to do this for so long and now it really is nice. They played out there all day.
Then, we went to a friend's house for dinner, and I almost melted when I saw she had made bruschetta. So yummy! We had a great time, Amy!
I've been saving some money from my checks for months so I could buy myself a new camera. Now, I just have to figure out how to use it - ha! I took what seemed like hundreds of pictures of E just so I could practice.
This picture tells me 3 things .... 1) isn't she beautiful? 2) she is looking way TOO grown up! Time, please slow down. And 3) I need to wash my windows!
Quite honestly, we hate to see the weekend end. We've had a relaxing, uneventful couple of days. A welcome change around here :)
At least this week everyone is home!

Yes she is beautiful inside and out. That sweet girl has the sweetest heart. I remember when she was just a baby. She is growing up too fast.
What a pretty daughter! Glad hubby got back and you had a wonderful weekend being together with family. I know the girls will love their new play area. Have a nice week. Enjoy your new camera. Love & blessings from NC!
YIPEE for roses! That always makes a day brighter!
WOW - that is a great picture of E... she IS beautiful & wow... she is growing up fast! It zooms by...
It was an awesome weekend for us too -- y'all are so much fun to be with! Glad you have Eric at home for a while.
Noah loved the bruschetta too -- he now wants me to make it for every meal. :) Not all the recipes I try for the first time turn out that well! Just remembered I needed to send you that recipe....doing it now!
So, what kind of camera did you get?
I had one quick moment of jealousy at the flowers often. But just for a moment, and then I went back to my acceptance of my situation. :)
