The Tooth Fairy will be working overtime tonight

Olivia has had a tooth loose for weeks.  Since it's her first, and much anxiety accompanies the first loose tooth, we've been patient about pulling it.  Even though permanent teeth are coming in behind both front bottom teeth.

Emma, on the other hand, seems to be losing them monthly.  After school today, I was congratulating Emma on receiving an award for learning all the books of the Bible.  I was watching her in the rearview mirror and asking her to recite them to me.  She rolled her eyes (serious pet peeve of mine).  I said, "Did you just roll your eyes at me??"  She wasn't.  She was chewing on a milk dud at the time (you see where this is going) and started spitting it out.  With her tooth attached.

I pulled over and we started laughing while trying to pull it away from the milk dud.  Olivia was watching .... became mortified and swore off milk duds forever.

Now, that's serious fear.

Fast forward a few hours to church.  Eric and I picked them up from the children's ministry room and found Emma carrying ANOTHER ziploc bag.

She had pulled ANOTHER tooth.

In a matter of 4 hours.

Olivia was getting nervous and asking questions like "Can I swallow my tooth in my sleep?" and "Will I ever be able to eat again?" ha!

As soon as we got home from church, Eric had her to show him the loose tooth.  He quickly pulled it before she knew what was coming.

That's THREE teeth in a matter of hours.

They were so pleased and anxious for the tooth fairy to come.
I was happy, but yet very sad.  My baby's smile is changed forever.

Her smile may be changed forever, but look how happy she looks!! I love how proud they both look. Cute pillows! How much does the TF pay at your house? We grew up getting quarters, but as a teacher, I was hearing of students getting $5 a tooth!! I think we'll give a toothbrush for every tooth lost :)

I can totally understand swearing off milk duds. I had a similar experience when I was young. I was eating a Bit o' Honey and a molar came out. However, my tooth was not loose at the time. My permanent tooth did eventually grow in, but I have NEVER touched a Bit o' Honey again. Odds are I never will!
