Okay, Okay, He's Cuter than B*n Jovi

Eric and I sat down last night and had a 'calendar meeting'.  He'll say things like "I have this trip coming up" or "I'll be in Chicago on this date" but if it's not written down on our calendar, it's as if I've never been told.  I just can't keep it straight.

I've been a little spoiled this summer.  He's had very few trips and even when he did, we went along with him.  Fall seems to be the busiest time for his business and is certainly the busiest for us in terms of school and activities.

So, there I sat with September and October completely filled in and it made me cringe.  And then I put the calendar away and chose to stay in denial for a few more weeks.

Yep, that'll work.

Besides, we still have a lot of fun stuff planned.

Thursday, we're going to see my best friend, Cathy and her family.  In all the years her husband has been in the military, I've always waited on her to come home so I can see her.  We've never visited them.  (Dumb)  We decided to do it and I'm so excited! I don't care if we plan one thing to do ... I just want to spend time with them. Absolutely can't wait!

We also have our church's kids camp coming up the following weekend.  Eric and I are counselors again.  This is one of Emma and Olivia's favorite things about summer.  I'm praying for temperatures to be less than 100 ... okay less than 90.  Let it be so, Lord! It's always a sweet time.

Emma has Cross Country camp the following week and official tryouts.  She's going to rock those tryouts! Her determination has been a cool thing to witness.

Monday morning, she got up at 6:15 to run with Eric.  I was battling a migraine that morning (ugh!) and stayed in bed.  Well, I got out long enough to take pictures from the driveway.  Here they are finishing up their 3rd mile.

See.  Proof she smiles while running.  It's the oddest thing, really.

I love these two so much!


Olivia did something disturbing yesterday.  We have a mail center which is magnetic envelopes with each of our names on them.  We leave each other notes throughout the week.  Olivia always leave a piece of candy or gum with her notes that make us smile.


Anyway, I checked my mail yesterday to find a Dove Raspberry Chocolate (my favorite obsession right now) and a note asking me why I didn't get up and run with Eric and Emma (she holds me accountable - ha!).  Then, I noticed a disturbing note that she left in Emma's folder ....

Huh? What? Why?

Where in the world have I gone wrong? And, how random for her to write that and put it in Emma's mail!

She is a stinker.

When I asked her about it, she told me she just really needed to know that I think her Daddy is cuter than B*n Jovi.  Hahaha

Well, ofcourse he is! (Hi Eric! ;)
