High Five for Friday

This has been an odd week with Eric starting back to work Monday, then having Tuesday off and then the girls going back to school Thursday.  We've had a lot of time to relax!!
1.  I've done little more than stay glued to my computer for the past four days watching the live stream of the Passion 2013 conference in Atlanta.  Passion is a conference for college students and was held this year at the Georgia Dome (that's 60,000 people chasing Jesus!).  The teaching and worship will benefit anyone at any age and I have loved every second.  The sessions can be watched free until sometime today and then will be available for download.  Check it out here.  Beth Moore taught on the last supper and it was a fantastic lesson.  Francis Chan made me cry and David Crowder's time of worship was well ... fantastic as well.  So, so good.

2.  My girls have danced A LOT this week (Just Dance 4).  I just sit and watch them :)

3.  Eric bought me a Kindle Fire HD after Christmas.  Actually, I had a little money saved and he was generous to add some to it ;) I'm sure he was tired of hearing me complain about my dead Nook.  Anyway, I absolutely LOVE IT! I'm finishing up Mondays with My Old Pastor today ~ so good!  (I've gotten several emails about book recommendations.  I'll post about my favorites soon.)

4.  My study routine has been interrupted since everyone has been home.  I was able to get back to normal yesterday and loved my 'alone' time.

5.  Emma never has to be asked to practice piano (violin is another story - ahem).  She loves piano and I love to hear her sing/play.  She did that a lot over the break.

Now, it's the weekend. We don't have much planned other than celebrating my sweet niece's birthday.  She's turning 14!! What in the world?

Have a great weekend!

YIPEE!!! Glad you're reading that. I have talked about it enough... even bought the book for friends for Christmas. I think its something EVERYONE should read - especially being a 'leader' - in church, or even in your family. Loved the examples!

Did you know you can go to Inspired Reads on Facebook- and "like" them..and every day (2x a day) they offer free Christian books for the Kindle. REALLY GREAT ONES. Great tip my sis-in-law gave me!!!!

Wow, Kelly! Thanks for the tip. I often wondered how everyone finds out about these Kindle deals. I've already downloaded a 'free' book - my favorite kind! :)
