Circus Time

This morning, I woke up with a migraine hangover.  Yesterday was not fun.  I shouldn't have gone to church.  I did, though, and ended up leaving halfway through the service.  I was sooooo sick.

But, I feel like today is going to be better (fingers crossed).

We did have a fun weekend.  Friday night, we went to dinner with Eric's parents, brother and sister-in-law.  We were celebrating Eric's Mom's birthday.  I haven't one picture to show for it, but we had a great time.

Saturday morning, we met some friends and headed to Charlotte.  We parked and then walked to one of our favorite restaurants for lunch.

Our friends, who we've known for ten years, used to be our neighbors.  Emma and their daughter Lauren have loved hanging out since they were 18 months old - ha! We really enjoy spending time with them.

After lunch, we walked a few blocks (in the freezing cold!) so we could go to the circus!

We haven't been to the circus since the girls were really little.  I wasn't sure how they would like it, but everyone had a great time.

It was definitely different than I remember.  There was a lot to keep your interest, though I'm not gonna lie, when they brought out the trained CATS, I was scratching my head.  Very odd.

Afterwards, we weren't ready for the day to end so we drove back home and ate dinner together at a new restaurant just a mile from our house.  So yummy!

We had a fun weekend.  Now, we're heading into Spirit Week at school.  The girls left the house this morning dressed for crayon day.  They get so excited about not having to wear uniforms and I spend this week being so thankful for them :)

I haven't been to the circus in years. It looked like a lot of fun.
Making those memories is the BEST!
Keep up the God work.
