What I'm Loving Wednesday and A GIVEAWAY

We've been spending whatever time we can with my brother this week and it's been so nice to see him sitting around a table, laughing and talking.  It only took a few minutes before I had to remind myself he had been gone at all.  I love him so!

My parents and JP came for dinner Monday night.  Olivia spent a long time preparing little places on the sofa for my Dad and her Uncle JP.  When I asked her why she was going through so much trouble, she said she just wanted them to be comfortable while they were here.  My Dad laid down immediately :)

**  This book ....

I downloaded Fearless:  The Undaunted Courage and Ultimate Sacrifice of Navy Seal Team SIX Operator Adam Brown Thursday night and finished it in a day.  No, it isn't anything like what I normally read, but I was fascinated by the story of Adam Brown, who was a member of Seal Team SIX.  I think I've talked about it to anyone who will stop and listen.  I can't really explain why the story of his life touched me like it did.  I guess it was the realization that our lives can easily be turned upside down and none of us are exempt from that.  But, also that Jesus Christ can redeem the deepest sins and restore a life once headed for nowhere. 

I'm so glad I read it.

**  This book ....

What is there left to say about Melanie's Sparkly Green Earrings?  I have read her blog (Big Mama) since the beginning, way before I started my own.  I love her sense of humor and most of all her honesty about motherhood.  Her book is just like her blog and more.

I pre-ordered this book way before Thanksgiving.  When it didn't arrive Friday, I couldn't take it anymore and downloaded it on my Kindle.  I laughed, cried and finished it in a few hours.  Melanie has the ability to put into words what we're all thinking about motherhood and she does it in a way that makes you laugh out loud, mainly because you've been there!  I love her heart.

So, guess what? My pre-ordered copy came Monday.  So, now I have a copy to giveaway!!
