Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

The Monday before Thanksgiving seems more bearable than others.  Ha! I'm sure it's because we only have two days of school and then a super long weekend!

Olivia is home sick today.  I can't decide if she's really sick or if she just needed a day home.  Eric and I were out of town all weekend and for someone who is my normal shadow, she was soooo ready for me to come home.

But, I was beyond thankful to have the weekend with this guy ...

We had such a great time in Charleston! {The courtyard outside our hotel room ...}

The biggest thing we had planned for this trip was a walking Culinary Tour.  Eric looooves the whole food experience, so I knew he would enjoy this.  We went with this company and were really pleased.  Our guide gave us a lot of history of the city, as well as a run-down of where 'not' to eat.  We ate so much food, it was ridiculous.  I'm not one to try new things, but it was all fine. Plus, it was neat to see Eric get into the whole thing.

We spent a lot of time walking around and relaxing.  Bliss!!!

Charleston is such a neat city.  Our hotel was directly across the street from the straw market, so we were close to everything.  We saw many houses for sale on the Battery ...

This very small house was selling for the low, low price of just over a million dollars.  We may be staying put for awhile :)

We were so happy to see our girls last night, but I have to say, I loved having that time alone with Eric! The time away made us all appreciate each other a little more.  Absence makes the heart grow fonder, right?
