God's Redeeming Love {Day 15}: His Goodness Never Changes

I spent all of yesterday waiting on the birth of my newest niece.  Yes, another girl.  {We just can't be bothered with boys :) }

{The Fab Five waiting on the new addition}

We've had an exciting couple of days, and yet, today we'll attend a funeral of a friend we served on youth ministry team with.

Our emotions will no doubt be all over the spectrum today, but I was thinking about both occasions and couldn't help but utter the words God is good.

Our friend is now in a place he spent SO MUCH time telling others about, just like my friend, Pam. He knew what it meant to be delivered from a life of sin and he made sure all who knew him understood just how much he'd been forgiven.

I can't help but think he's the winner.

When God radically changes our lives, we never get over it.  Sure, life happens and the valleys seem unbearable at times, but God's goodness is unwavering.

Just the same, when He tells us He loves us, we can rely on that Truth to never change.

God is not man, that he should lie,

or a son of man, that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

Numbers 23:19

What could you call 'good' in your life today? Only the things that seem simple or easy? Or the valleys also?

And we know that all things work together for good to them
that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28

No matter where we are in our walks with the Lord, He is actively loving and pursuing us!

In our valleys we learn just how much we need the Lord. Our bad can be redeemed and then they become God's good. The Lord has blessed your family with a sweet baby girl and love abounds! And no doubt Pam was there to see him meet Jesus face to face. Thank you Lord for loving us right where we are!
